Midlife Revival Jazzband     

Piet van Bloppoel was the bass player of the Pall Mall Jazzband and Lulu’s Dixiekids in the seventies.

He could be described as a bass collector who is always looking for a more beautiful bass.

He met Ari van Mensvoort in a jazz club, who introduced him to the New Orleans style. 

After several rehearsals, as well as the introduction of exciting compositions by some of the band members, Piet’s interest in this swinging style of music soared.
With self-criticism, he doesn’t consider himself to be a “typical” trad. style bassist. 
But his colleagues, on the contrary, believe that he does an excellent job and enjoy playing with him enormously.
