In 1997, our banjo player Ari van Mensvoort (driven by his passion for New Orleans Revival Jazz) founded the Midlife Revival Jazzband.
Together with these musicians, who had all earned their credits in different Jazz bands, the Cd Up To New Orleans  was brought out in 1999.
After the band’s performances at the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans, as well as at “Fritzels “, the famous Jazzclub in Bourbon Street, their second Cd Back From New Orleans  was recorded at the end of 2001. 
The band’s repertoire, which centres around the traditional jazz style of the twenties, is presented with own arrangements to address the audience.
At the end of 2005 the Cd Live at Vredenburg was brought out.
