Arnold Wildschut  - Clarinet

Arnold Wildschut enlightened by the Revival style of a.o. Chris Barber and Acker Bilk, played in the Utrecht student-orchestra Uncle Zeus Feetwarmers during his college years.
After a long interlude of which the last seven years playing the hobo in classical ensembles, he returned in 1987 to his old love:
Traditional Jazz, playing the clarinet in a.o. the Big Butter and Egg Men, the Blues Serenaders, and the Swingdixieseven.
However, only after 1998, when he joined the Midlife Revival Jazzband, he started playing the New Orleans style on his clarinet.

His inspiration and fascination can be traced back to recordings of George Lewis and his followers, combined with the specific sound of the clarinet.
