Ari
van Mensvoort was founder of the Midlife Revival Jazzband. Started
at the age of fourteen in the Jazz scene as a banjoman/benjamin in a
local Dixieland orchestra. Five
years later he joined Cor Fabrie’s
Storyville Jazzband along with Ad van Beerendonk and Will van
Gessel. Consequently,
he played with the Savoy Jazzmen from Eindhoven, and then decided to
pursue his career rather than music. In
1989 he returned to music and played with a “street parade marching
band”. |
